Reapplication would be necessary then? Especially with certain foodstuffs that cause very violent illnesses if allowed to sit for too long such as fish and shellfish. Skyhold is very lacking in shrimp, I have found, and overburdened in fatty ram and tasteless mutton.
For shrimp it would be best to encase it in ice and renew the enchantment every six hours. Upon your return send for me and I will be able to thaw it without spoiling or cooking anything before you are prepared to do so- with the understanding that I will receive some of whatever it is you cook as payment.
