The LeBlanc Noble Family and Spouses
![]() ![]() ![]() Melisende & Gabriel LeBlanc |
The latest Matriarch of the LeBlanc family has continued the grand tradition of beneficial marriages to improve the family's standing- though for her part she set her sights on the entirety of Thedas rather than remaining purely in Orlais. She is a determined, boisterous woman that conducts social calls and events much like business meetings, hailing back to the family's merchant roots of generations ago. Rather than trade furs or silks they now trade in influence and information, gaining momentum in The Grand Game with every successful match and transaction. Melisende has high ambitions for her family and is more than willing to play the long game to see them rise. Gabriel is, by all appearances, a silent, stoic supporter of his wife's machinations- often overlooked in favor of her commanding presence. His skill lies in being approachable where his wife may seem too much, in being subtle and silent in their dealings, and is known well for his discretion. They've taken a 'wait and see' stance on the current upheaval in Orlais, waiting to back the right play. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Angeline & Caspar Van Brandt |
A somber and decisive woman, Angeline runs her household with all the military precision expected of the wife of a tactical adviser and descendant of dragon slayers. She says little and listens well, making the most of what words she does have to spare. Caspar is a warrior in his own right but has stepped away from active combat to train other noble sons and daughters; including their eldest, Hildegard. All show some skill in combat but only she seems to be making a profession of it. The family is known for their somewhat stoic presence in social events and patronship not only of the arts but of the mages that may hope to join the Mortalitasi. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Juliette & Garrick Lowell |
The Lowell family is known well for their breeding and training of Mabari hounds, something that Juliette has taken to with great enthusiasm. Murmurs have been made over the years of larger pups from the latest litters, more keen and fierce war dogs that may or may not be true. She cares for them as she would her own blood, her twin children working alongside to raise and train the hounds that are then gifted or purchased by nobility and warriors alike. Garrick minds the alliances made by promising certain lines of breeding to certain families and minds they manage only the most prosperous of dealings. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Marianne & Aidan Ó Síoda |
Charming and fashionable, Marianne has made a name for herself by organizing regular dinner parties and wine tastings, inviting in the newest up and coming chefs for a slice of their newest creations. Well known patrons of knights and combatants for the Grand Tourney, finding their favor can earn any entrant better equipment or use of their training ground, or perhaps find their odds bolstered in the gambling circles. Aidan spends a bit too much time with cards and dice and not enough minding the coffers; but Marianne has taken steps to ensure he doesn't bankrupt them with his habit. |
![]() Adelaide LeBlanc |
Adelaide lives and works with the Inquisition's forces in Skyhold, but does not have a match. Yet. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Cateline & Marizo Belmonte |
Come Satinalia most nobles know where the best balls are thrown- in the home of Cateline Belmonte. Vivacious and well humored she holds court among the wives of other noble merchants, carving out her own space of influence despite the societal limitations placed on ladies. If there is gossip or scandal to be had? It is likely she knows of it and knows who else might know of it- and who can be trusted to remain silent. Marizo may or may not have a Cell of Crows at his disposal that he inherited, the rumor has not been confirmed nor denied. He himself may be a Crow but this, too, has no evidence. What is known is his taste and trade in wine rivals his love of his wife and children. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Violette & Konrad Morgenstern |
Even with the limited wealth to be had in the Anderfels, Violette and Konrad have managed to thrive. Years of defending their homestead have left them determined to leave it better secured for their children. They could be called cold, but some say they have bolstered their fortune circumnavigating the merchant's guild in their art dealings, passing more of the profit on to the artisans. Their time and wealth is spent fortifying their homestead and outpost, protecting their people. What they can spare they use to cement relations with the Grey Wardens for protection and political compensation. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Lilianne & Amador De La Fuente |
In a country that values the leadership of woman Lilianne has steadily climbed, settling neatly into the culture and sentiment of assisting the community, adorning herself with tattoos and piercings. She minds the needs of her home and the surrounding villages, extending assistance as best she can. Amador is a rumored smuggler or privateer, but there is no proof to the truth of it. One way or another he provides for his wife and family, happily backing Lilianne's social and political maneuvering all while making time to dote upon her and their three children. Murmurs about a mage in the family have been unverified. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Gregoire LeBlanc & Solange Pelletier |
The youngest child and only son of the LeBlanc family has been matched with a truly advantageous fiancee, Solange comes from a well connected family that could lead to an even greater expansion of their mutual bloodlines. Gregoire himself is a quiet, unassuming gentleman, spending his time writing and minding the temperament of his mother and his fiancee. |
