❝COLE❞
Neutral A strange young man delivering spiders from the basement to the garden. Hw survived the Spire, somehow, why he was there she can't say. But he means well, he's terribly kind and that is worth more than she can say. |
❝SALVATORE❞
Neutral A mage with diplomatic leanings, Adelaide approves of his desire to at least discuss things in a civil and mediated manner, that he went out of his way to support both sides of an inflammatory argument surrounding templars and mages is to his credit. Recently she expressed concerns on his behalf and though he is in no way her responsibility nor is she beholden to him, she worries after his wellbeing in light of said concerns. |
❝LENNETH❞
Neutral Were she asked to describe how Lenneth seems to her, Adeliade would call her an Arcane Warrior or Knight Enchanter. With the weight of magic about her but the obvious battle prowess present in her bearing and armor there is no question of Lenneth's skill- nor her determination to be seen as what she is rather than a demon. Adelaide must commend her bravery if nothing else. |
❝MARTEL❞
Friendly An ass. An educated, charming, capable and amusing ass- but still. An ass. He's made no true recompense for how they met and aside from an explanation, Adelaide does not expect to ever be granted one; but since then has proven himself capable of at least shades of social grace when it pleases him. Martel is a puzzle that she cannot quite sort out, for every piece she flips over to see the truth of his colors the less what has already been shown make any sense. But she has come to trust him, somewhat, if only for the fair deal of sense he speaks, damn him. |
❝JAMIE❞
Friendly A fair hand in a fight and excellent backup against demons- Adelaide approves of his willingness to handle an unfamiliar situation with a fair amount of confidence. It isn't easy being spit into a new reality and he's done well by her estimate. As he continues to adjust and share bits of his life and world with her, she too attempts to find what is familiar to ease the transition. The gift of a Bagged Pipe seems to have done a lot of the heavy lifting for her. Jamie's stability in a time of turmoil has long since earned him Adelaide's respect, his playful nature and patience? Has earned her friendship. |
❝SIMON❞
Warm A troubled young mage that seems weighed down by more than the status of the world or the war. Whatever it is that has him fear for his safety and his sisters? Adelaide would be happy to alleviate. For now all she can do is make certain he doesn't overwork himself and that he's aware she is available should he or is sister need help. |
❝DORIAN PAVUS❞
Friendly
Not evil, not a magister, not nice. Pleasant, certainly. Proper? Of course. Terribly reasonable. Nudged Adelaide to do something about the mage thing and she alternately respects and loathes him for it. Despite her initial assumptions they've become some manner of friends, biting, bitching, drinking frineds, but friends none the less. He knows her sad story and she knows shades of his; it's left her fiercely protective of him, even if how they met was less than glamorous and his habit of letting emotion override his good sense on occasion leaves her annoyed with how he's often not wrong. If he were an evil, wrong, magister ignoring him would be so much easier. |
❝CASSANDRA❞
Neutral A remarkable woman that does remarkable things and commands authority with an ease Adelaide envies even if she doesn't want any herself. Cassandra is more or less living legend and well worth following. |
❝THE IRON BULL❞
Neutral Large. Intimidating. Capable. Broad- in a way she hasn't seen before and- well she supposes it makes him attractive. Aesthetically speaking, of course. She's not at all flustered by him, not in the slightest, though she is terribly intrigued. |
❝Nahariel❞
Neutral Inquisitive and capable, Nahariel has offered to keep an eye out for seeds the garden has need of. Her patience and optimism and eagerness to do what she can to help the Inquisition in whatever way she can gives Adelaide some hope for what is to come. |
❝Siuona❞
Warm
A rather delicate young elf that's come to aid the Inquisition while suffering from some manner of shard similar to the rifts in her chest. Adelaide does not know how to help, but she does hope that something can be done to make Sina's life easier. Continued research has come up empty but until they find something? She and Sina continue to work to better both the garden for the Inquisition and her condition as best they can. A constant, soothing presence when settled, Adelaide takes time to have tea with her as often as they can manage. |
❝BELETH ASHARA❞
Neutral Mischievous but not malicious- as far as she can tell. |
❝PEL ASHARA❞
Friendly
Pel continues to be most forthright and emphatic in her beliefs and resolutions for the Mage Council, which is admirable; but her blunt nature leaves Adelaide concerned for her ability to compromise. Even compromises feel something like a battle and less like an agreement; though she attributes that to the nature of the Council's lack of other elven members and the surplus of circle mages. Outside of the Council chamber, when they set their obligations aside, they're more friendly. Pel's perspective is valuable; even if her politics are inflammatory. |
❝Korrin Ataash❞
Friendly
Not to be trifled with- or to be wound up. Hopefully it won't happen in the hold or there will be fire. That she's standing with the Inquisition and offering her thoughts and perspectives in the Council of Magi? Earns her Adelaide's respect. That she is trying to endure the continued existence of templars without being baited or baiting in turn? Doubles it. The balance they must strike is not a simple one but Korrin is trying when she's never had cause to do before and for that Adelaide finds her remarkable. |
❝Nerva Lecuyer❞
Hostile
Imperious, meddling, and stubborn, this is a templar that exemplifies almost everything Adelaide loathes in them. The fact that she doesn't seem to see mages as anything more than dangerous animals? Does her no favors. |
❝Leonard Church❞
Warm
Not a Spirit. No idea what he actually is but- not a Spirit. A half decent clown, perhaps. |
❝JAMES NORRINGTON❞
Neutral Civil, sensible, and sarcastic. As a man? Someone she can respect. As a templar? Someone she remains cautiously wary about if only due to past experiences. |
❝VARRIC TETHRAS❞
Interested
A charming man unlike any that Adelaide has ever met. A single conversation in a tavern has made them friendly acquaintances if nothing else- the odd round of tea or ale or whatever is on hand when they've time for one another lasts long enough for some editing, some discussion, and some friendly flirting. Or rather Varric uses lines and Adelaide does her best to return in kind. She hasn't quite gotten the knack of it yet but neither of them mind taking their time in this. |
❝TWISTED FATE❞
Neutral A Dalish magician and cardshark, of sorts, one that prompts pranks and good cheer. Her students like him well enough and he has good taste in wine, as well as sense enough to understand her concerns about the safety of those she minds. She's grateful to him for that. |
❝DETLEF❞
Interested
The first other Spirit Healer Adelaide has met in the Inquisition. The first peer she's been able to speak to that understands her concerns, her work, her training. Life has not been kind to Detlef, that much she knows well but that he can still be kind to her, still be charming, and seems to delight in both academic debate as well as blatant flirtations? It is...shades of something she has not had in her life for years. There is much she'd like to know more of him and their daily meetings for academic discourse (on her part) tea (on both their parts) and flirting (on his part) is something she looks forward to greatly; all the more so in times of stress. |
❝Samouel Gareth❞
Friendly Large and kind, Sam's wormed his way into Adelaide's esteem quickly by being helpful to her students and to most everyone he's around in Skyhold, and by being an attentive and capable student. He has a talent for spirit magic and healing that needs polish but he has come far. Over time he's become as dear to her as those she counts as her responsibility; she is of his progress and is readying him for seeking out his spirit partner. |
❝GALADRIEL❞
Interested In all her years no living thing has stunned Adelaide quite so quickly and thoroughly as Galadriel. She is everything she's ever thought a spirit in the flesh might be- graceful, glowing, decisive and kind. That she has some of the Lady's attention and perhaps even her favor flusters her, she remains in quiet awe of Galadriel and does not know how to handle the life debt between them. She's subtly attracted and alternatively dazzled by her; but nothing shall ever come of it and that? Makes it safe. |
❝MARTIN WALKER❞
Neutral While nothing in or of him is familiar, Martin is very much a soldier and warrior- though a troubled one. Something seems to have him unsettled beyond finding himself in this world. Irritated by his skepticism for her skills and that of her fellow healers, Adelaide isn't entirely certain what to make of him. |
❝BRUCE❞
Warm Much like herself Bruce pours a good deal of his time and effort into keeping the injured to a minimum- tending to the sick and mending wounds as best he can. Also like her he has a tendency to continue working far too long without a break- their now daily moments of quiet and tea have given her a solid appreciation of his unassuming company. It is not often she is allowed to simply be around a person, even if they aren't speaking. A valued confident and someone she considers a friend, Bruce has become a much needed safe haven for Adelaide where she might speak without fear of derision or judgement; more than once he's helped her settle her perspective when she felt fit to unravel entirely. |
❝CULLEN RUTHERFORD❞
Warm Commander of the Inquisition's forces and guard, he has her eternal gratitude for offering her and the remainder of the refugees a place. Sensible if harried, she has the utmost respect for him and what he must likely endure. He's earned her respect for his attempts to corral the templars, for his working through lyrium withdrawal, and his consideration for the plight of mages. He's lost some for being a typical manly stoic about dealing with that pain, and for throwing himself headfirst into danger. All in all, it balances out. |
❝RIVER❞
Warm Something in River reminds Adelaide of Cole, of her own Spirit- but not quite so much that the comparison is easily made. She is not well and for that? She has Adelaide's sympathy and protection should she or her brother require it. |
❝Cremisius Aclassi❞
Friendly Somehow dove headfirst into Adelaide's favor with a particularly aching heart to heart about relationships and life. Calls her mamman and Adelaide is determined to be worthy of the endearment. She does as best she can for him and he, in turn, keeps himself alive and her informed of his absences should he need to take them. She's cautiously supportive of his blossoming relationship with Sam, though her reservations have less to do with the assumed issues and more with her cynical outlook on life in general. |
❝Alistair❞
Neutral A meddling fool that makes light of things he either doesn't understand or doesn't have a place in meddling. If he were a proper Templar she'd mind less. Slightly, but less. They're friendly enough in their dislike of one another for the mot part in that she does not loathe him entirely- but the recent incident with Felix has left her far more bitter about him and his actions than previous- what had been amusing dislike has now turned quite sharp and cold. |
❝Felix Alexius ❞
Friendly
A young ill man from Tevinter with a wasting illness. Adelaide is equally charmed by and saddened by him. Whatever comfort she might offer? She has. He's come to endear himself to her with his kindness and consideration even while blighted, his ability to keep Felix on some manner of even keel is much appreciated- with the Wardens having 'cured' she is uncertain as to how often they will see one another. |
❝GAVIN ASHARA❞
Neutral Sam's friend. Polite enough? A little puzzling but- to her most Dalish are. |
❝Benevenuta Thevenet❞
Friendly
Obviously comfortable speaking in public and handling delicate conversations, Adelaide is glad to have someone else attempt to steer the discussion aside from Dorian- or Dorian baiting her into doing so. Even if they're twice as much trouble around one another. Even if this fey young woman acts so terribly young and remains so terribly graceful in the face of difficulties with the Council. Even if she is determined to drive Adelaide to distraction with worrying after her keeping warm or keeping safe with her continued association with various templars. Despite all this Adelaide is terribly fond and looks to Benevenuta as she might a sister; for all that she doesn't know what it is to have one. |
❝Christine Delacroix❞
Friendly
A fellow Orlesian healer, Adelaide enjoys Christine's company and assisting her in her studies. She's another slice of familiarity in a strange place surrounded by quite a bit that is foreign; having another bit of home or at least something close to it? Is a boon. So far in their lessons Christine has done well, and Adelaide is hopeful for what she might achieve in the time to come. Little by little she is becoming more like family- and is someone that Adelaide attempts to check in with as often as possible to ensure her well-being. |
❝Sabriel Abhorsen❞
Warm
Easily the most sensible and level headed individual in the discussion, Adelaide is glad for the grounding point of view Sabriel offers. It's a different perspective, but one worth hearing. That she is a Warden is honorable indeed- save for when their secrets seem to take precedence over the treatment of a patient. Nevermind that they 'cured' Felix, Adelaide finds the mysterious method questionable on principle. Not so much as to leave her suspicious of Sabriel personally, she's always been forthright about the Grey Wardens coming before her obligations as a Councilor and even though she does not understand? Adelaide can respect that. |
❝CECIL❞
Neutral A strange man with a steady, soothing voice; full of questions and opinions. She's arranged for an interview of some sort over the crystals. |
❝Kallian Endris❞
Neutral An apostate Spirit Healer that doesn't wish to be known as a mage. Without understanding the entirety of why- Adelaide is somewhat disappointed, but determined to help her feel safe in the Inquisition. |
❝Ellana Ashara❞
Neutral A council member that shares a seat with Pel, Ellana is better suited to the people part of the equation, but seems a bit more trusting than Adelaide knows what to do with. She is kind and kind hearted, gentle in her ways and terribly compassionate, which is commendable. |
❝Vivienne❞
Warm
A prominent figure in Orlesian politics, a terribly skilled player of the Game and a loud loyalist. Adelaide didn't expect to get on half so well with Vivienne. She is everything Adelaide stepped away from by entering the Spire, everything she buried herself in her studies to avoid- and almost everything she needs to become if she hopes to manage anything to help her cause. Vivienne's interactions with her students warms her through, her support in the Council is invaluable. |
❝Mia Rutherford❞
Neutral A caretaker at heart that works just as hard as any healer to ensure that the people of Skyhold are well and that those running it? Do not overwork themselves. Cullen's sister is as stubborn and sensible as her younger brother, something that Adelaide is beginning to assume is hereditary. |
❝SCIPIO❞
Neutral A vexing Antivan warden that thinks himself charming and funny. He is neither. |
